Julie's Pets stock a range species and a range of ages of tortoise at their pet shop in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, and a range of tortoise food and tortoise accessories at their market stalls at Catterick North Yorkshire and Billingham, Teesside.

On the right is an photograph of 'Timmy' and 'Willow' both Sulcata tortoise which is the 3rd largest species. Timmy, is NOT for sale but Daisy, a 12 year old female Sulcata, tortoise IS for sale, subject to the purchaser taking ADVICE prior to purchase.

Julie's Pets stock a range of different age and different size chameleons and can supply its terrarium/home, accessories and live food.

The species you are most likely to see as captive bred babies are veiled chameleons and panther chameleon’s theses species do very well in the terrarium and are considered among the easiest to keep.

Julies Pet Shop now stocks Iguanas.

The Iguana is a genus of lizard native to tropical areas of and South America and the Caribbean.

The two species of lizard within the genus Iguana possesses a dewlap, a row of spines running down their back to their tail, and a third eye on their head. This eye is known as the Parietal eye, which looks just like a pale scale on the top of their head. Behind their neck are small scales which resemble spikes, known as tuberculate scales. They also have a large round scale on their cheek known as a subtympanic shield

BEARDED DRAGONS.

Visit Julie's Pet shop at Newton Aycliffe to see a selection of different sized Bearded Dragons, terrainiums live food and accessories.

Bearded dragons are among the tamest of all lizards, and their outgoing personalities, activity level, appetites and interesting social behaviours make them a very captivating lizard to observe.

They have a very rapid growth rate, so the 4" hatchlings can grow to their adult size (16-24 inches from nose to tail), within a year.

Most bearded dragons adapt easily to handling and are calm enough to perch on their owner's shoulder, or be placed on a worktop, or enjoy the view from a windowsill.

Julies Pets Newton Aycliffe, County Durham have a licence to keep and sell snakes from their shop in Newton Aycliffe town centre.

Baby corn snakes are approximatley 6 inches in length but they will grow to around 5 feet

Recently arrivals to our stock include corn snakes, rat snakes, Assian giant rat snakes, boa constrictors, pythons and African house snakes. Please call or visit to see our snakes.

Reasons to keep a snake as a pet, include

SKINK

Julies Pets have added Blue Tongued Skink to their growing range of exotic reptiles.

There are many types of Skinks across the world but the Blue Tongued Skink (named after the colour of its tongue) is a native of open woodlands, at the margins of forest and semi-deserts in Australia, Tasmania, and New Guinea.

Blue Tongue Skinks are omnivores, in that they eat both plant and animal matter, and can grow to 50cm (20 inches) or even longer.

The reptile selection at Julies pets is growing in popularity and as a result, many are sold the same day or within days of coming into stock.

The selection is constantly changing and a visit to Julies Newton Aycliffe Pet shop is highly recommended.
